The Children’s Collective of Florida was created to bridge community generosity with practical support for children and families in need. Rooted in dignity and compassion, our mission is to channel the abundance within our communities to children and families facing difficult circumstances.

Our Mission

Our mission is to bridge community generosity with the practical needs of children and families across Florida. Through organized giving, local partnerships, and the sustainable reuse of children’s clothing, books, and essential items, The Children’s Collective of Florida helps ensure useful resources are shared with dignity, purpose, and care — so every child feels seen, supported, and valued.

How It Began

The Children's Collective of Florida began with a simple realization: every season in Martin County, families outgrow children's clothing, shoes, books, toys, and bedroom basics — while affordable access remains scarce, kinship and foster caregivers stretch their budgets, and local children's programs work miracles on lean funding.

That gap between abundance and need is solvable. CCOF was incorporated in April 2026 to solve it the way a community does — by gathering what's abundant, redistributing it where it's needed, and funding the partners who serve our most vulnerable children. We're the giving tree: rooted in donations, branching into affordable access and grant support.

What We Believe

Children deserve dignity.

Families deserve practical support.

Communities are stronger when we work together.

Usable goods should be reused, not wasted.

Giving should be simple, organized, and meaningful.

Meet Our Founder

Founded by Stephanie Haskins, The Children's Collective of Florida was born from faith, motherhood, and a belief that everyday generosity can create lasting opportunities for children.

Stephanie Haskins is the Founder and President of The Children's Collective of Florida, a nonprofit created to connect community generosity with practical support for children and families in need.

Guided by her Christian faith and a heart for children, Stephanie has spent years supporting organizations focused on foster care, family support, youth development, and community outreach. After becoming a mother to her daughter, Summer, she became even more aware of how quickly children outgrow clothing, toys, and essentials — and how many families could benefit from those same resources.

That realization inspired the creation of The Children's Collective of Florida and its first program, The Collective Kids Closet. Stephanie's vision is to create a clear, trusted place where families can donate gently used children's items, shop affordable quality goods, and support programs serving children throughout Florida.

"I started The Children's Collective of Florida as a mother, not an institution — so let me make you a promise you can hold me to. Every item that moves through our hands is inspected, cleaned, and chosen the way I'd choose it for my own children — never disposable surplus. The support a community gives stays close to the children it was meant for, supporting kids in foster care, crisis, and mentoring. Right now, that community is Martin County and the Treasure Coast. And we will show you where every gift goes."

What's Next

This is just the beginning. Our flagship program, the Collective Kids Closet, opens Fall 2026 in Stuart, Florida. From there, our vision is to grow one Florida community at a time.

In the near term, we'll:

  • Open the Collective Kids Closet in Martin County (Fall 2026)

  • Form grant partnerships with the local 501(c)(3) programs serving Martin County children in foster care, kinship homes, crisis, and mentoring.

  • Build a volunteer community to power both the Closet and the partner programs we fund.

In the long term, we'll replicate the CKC model across Florida.

Built in Martin County. Building for Florida.

Powered by community. Supporting kids - everywhere they need us.
